Mohammed Al-Shareef ‘12

President, Qatar A&M Club

Mohammed Al-Shareef is a proud member of the Texas A&M University at Qatar Class of 2012, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering with a minor in Political Science. During his time at TAMUQ, he served as President of the SPE Student Chapter. He also holds an Executive MBA from HEC Paris. 

Mohammed currently serves as Asset Manager with ExxonMobil Qatar. Over his career, he has held numerous leadership roles across ExxonMobil, QatarEnergy, and QatarEnergy LNG, building extensive experience in asset management, operations, and organizational leadership. 

Since November 2025, he has served as an Ex Officio Board Member of the TAMUQ Joint Advisory Board. As President of the Qatar A&M Club, Mohammed is committed to strengthening the Aggie network and preserving the Texas A&M legacy in Qatar.

Ahmed M. Mroué ’17

Vice President, Events

Ahmed M. Mroué ’17 is an LNG origination and market strategy professional with QatarEnergy Trading (QET), the trading arm of QatarEnergy, based in Doha. In his role, Ahmed focuses on long-term LNG origination, market strategy, and commercial structuring, supporting the growth of QatarEnergy Trading’s global portfolio. Prior to relocating to Doha, Ahmed worked in Houston at Cheniere Energy as part of the Global Market Fundamentals and Corporate Research team, supporting strategic market development messaging and commercial decision-making.

A proud Aggie, Ahmed earned his Master of Science in Energy from Texas A&M University in 2017. During his time in College Station, he served as a Research Associate at the Texas A&M Energy Institute’s Water–Energy–Food Nexus Research Group, where he published four journal articles and a book chapter focused on water–energy policy tradeoffs, sustainable energy planning, and resource security. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Lebanese American University.

Faith Stringer  ’03

Vice President, Treasury

Faith Stringer '03 is the assistant director of business operations at Texas A&M University at Qatar. She graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Sciences in 2003 and worked for Texas A&M's College of Architecture for 15 years before relocating to Doha in 2019.

Dr. Ryan McLawhon

Assistant DEAN for Academic services and students affairs

Dr. Ryan McLawhon is the assistant dean for academic services and student affairs. His offices support students through academic advising, international programs, scholarships and tuition coordination, student life, student conduct, athletics, and other student support efforts.
